Pastel Carpet at the Oscars

The Pastel colour palette is set to be a main feature in the new Hannah Elizabeth clothing range, so it only made sense to check how the celebs are wearing these colours on the red carpet. The Oscar awards are one of the most glamorous red carpet events of the year so I have scoured the thousands of pictures and picked out the main pastel coloured outfits.

Anne Hathaway - Prada
Jennifer Lawrence - Dior
Louise Roe - Monique Lhullier
Lara Spencer

Some lovely blushes and coral tones in a range of fabric textures. Anne Hathaway's Prada dress has a beautiful sheen satin look to the fabric which is very glamorous and with her pixie crop hair, creates a very cute and innocent look. Jennifer's Dior dress has had mixed reviews but I think it's lovely, she's kept it simple and elegant and the texture of the fabric gives that little twist. Louise's Coral vined dress and tulle skirt is nicely detailed as well as Lara's glittered and sparkled slim one-shouldered dress.

Catherine Zeta-Jones - Zuhar Murad
Jessica Chastain - Armani Prive
Octavia Spencer - Tadashi Shoji
Rene Zellweger - Carolina Herrera
Naomie Harris
Fatima Ptacek

Golden metallics and peachy hues were another popular garment colour on the red carpet. Catherine Zeta-Jones just looks timeless, even though she's in her fourties! Naomie Harris (of the new Miss Moneypenny!) looks beutiful in this simple yet detailed orange dress, goes really well with her complexion. Jessica and Rene's  golden dresses were both very fitted and simple, letting the fabric do the talking for them with the added mini train.

Amanda Seyfried - Alexander McQueen
Amy Adams - Oscar De La Renta

Even though these two beautiful women are the only ones to have had lilac dresses, they are two stunning lilac dresses! Amanda's McQueen dress has quite a signature McQueen silhouette but is then softened with the detailing of the fabric with flora type shapes encrusted onto the lavender backdrop. Amy's cinderella shaped dress looks to be very tactile, with an almost furry feel to the skirt in the enormous train.

Charlize Theron - Dior
Georgina Chapman - Marchesa
Kristen Stewart - Reem Acra
Zoe Saldana - Alexis Mabille
Queen Latifah - Badgley Mishka
Lucy Alibar

Charlize looks abosolutely stunning in this simple Dior strapless peplum dress, along with her strong features and pixie blonde hair. Kristen Stewart's Reem Acra dress was very textured with flower shapes all down the dress, then splitting at the bottom to reveal tulle underneath, however points to her for turning up with crouches! Zoe Saldana's dress is a little hit and miss for me, the top section looks pretty but the bottom doesn't quite look like it belongs.

Collar Displaying

I have good news! Hannah Elizabeth collars and accessories will soon be available to buy from the Peel Street Emporium in Barnsley. It is a growing shop full of different independent businesses and crafters, only been open 3 months and is already very popular in the local town and is doing very well. I hope to eventually have a clothing range in the Emporium as well, but for now, my collars and accessories will be on sale.

Here is two boxes that I have acquired to display my collars on as I wanted a nice way of displaying them but still something simple. One box is a papier-mache love heart box and the other is a thick card miniature suitcase box. These are how I plan on displaying my items when I take them into the Emporium.

Pastel Preperations

Preparations have already began in getting Hannah Elizabeth back up and going. We have some new swing tags/ business cards in a range of pastel shades, a button, bead and sequin collection is rapidly growing, sketching and designing is quickly filling up my new sketchbook, our mannequins are at the ready and satin padded coat hangers are eagerly awaiting.

Back from a Hiatus

Hannah Elizabeth has been on a hiatus for around 7-8 months now, due to me being in full time employment and not having the time or resources to keep going. But I now intend to make a comeback.

Now I know I had only been creating accessories like bags and collars, which did pretty well and I would love to get back to them. But wait...there's more.....

Hannah Elizabeth will soon have its own clothing range!!

The planning processes have already began and we are hoping to have things going within the next few months, so watch this space! :D
